Communication on alcoholic beverages
Under French law, communication on alcoholic beverages and products is strictly regulated by the “Evin Law”. Advertising shall thus only bear on certain characteristics of the concerned products exhaustively listed by the law : alcohol degree, origin, denomination, manufacturer, production mode, selling mode, consumption ways, terroirs, objectives references to colors, olfactive and gustative products characteristic.
Any notion of pleasure, party, travel, journey is prohibited, whether in writing or only suggested by images / drawings.
Any advertising about alcoholic beverage shall contain the mandatory indication “L’abus d’alcool est dangereux pour la santé, à consommer avec modération”. This mention shall be indicated complying with certain strict conditions.
