The final act (nothing is less certain) in the saga of trade negotiations for the year 2024, as an agreement has been reached between the National Assembly and the Senate on the applicable timetable.
Without prolonging the suspense, here is the timetable that has been adopted: :
– for suppliers with sales of less than 350 million euros: the deadline for regularizing agreements is set at January 15, 2024, with an effective date of January 16. General terms and conditions must be submitted by November 21, 2023;
– for suppliers with sales of €350 million or more: the deadline for regularizing agreements is January 31, 2024, with an effective date of February 1. General terms and conditions must be submitted by December 5, 2023.
It should be noted that the amended bill specifies that its scope of application applies to “any distributor engaged in a predominantly food retailing activity in its commercial relations with any supplier of FMCG products”.
To your negociations !
